New Cell Phone Policy
 

​Our vision is to teach our students responsible cell phone use that will serve them beyond their time here at Fusion.

 

Limited and Structured Cell Phone Use Policy Aspiranet Board Approved 6/30/2026

 

Students must keep cell phones stored during instructional time unless explicitly permitted by staff for instructional purposes. Limited use may be allowed during designated breaks or with teacher approval for academic activities.

 

Repeated or inappropriate use will result in progressive restorative and disciplinary responses that emphasize accountability and skill-building. 

 

Interventions may include:​

• restorative check-ins

• classroom redirection

• reflective assignments

• parent conferences

• temporary phone confiscation by administration, or individualized behavior support plans when necessary.

 

​This approach balances flexibility with clear expectations for responsible technology use. Cell phone and headphone use will be permitted at the discretion of the teacher in the classroom. Fusion staff respects the privacy of all students, but holds the right to secure the phone in the classroom or office until the school day is over.  Envelopes are available for individual phones.
